A refresh and unification of the disparate elements of Aera’s brand identity on Instagram. To forge a stronger identity I opted to narrow the current Aera branding into 3 primary colors with a subtle gradient to each, referencing the full spectrum Aera uses without actually using it. Repetition was key to keeping a cohesive look across the disparate elements featured. Bold text posts coupled with bright, colorful photos to create a playful but expert feeling throughout.Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, sketch

Color Palletes and type in use. Subtly narrowing the band of colors was a big first step toward a more cohesive look. Unifying disparate assets and elements with those colors was the next. While not a “true” primary pallette, the “yellow” lets us use white text — the preference — and still be readable.
Posts and story treatments. A simple extension of the gradients and border treatments to fill the additional space, with some mild recropping/editing as needed.
Story Highlights
Highlight covers. A segmented ring using the three gradients and a recognizable icon in the center, clean and easy to understand.
Highlights. Diffusers and sustainability.
Highlights. FAQ and “vs. Plug-Ins” [Value prop].
Highlights. Aera Love [testimonials and articles], App, and “DId you Nose?” [Fragrance trivia].
