Summer '21–'25My contribution to pride month for the past few years. It’s very fun and I adore seeing people excited to see their identities represented.
Truly what became the most difficult aspect of this ongoing project is not maintaining consistency in style and execution over the years, or studying pride flags and their corresponding niche queer communities, it’s coming up with new and interesting ways to pile deer haphazardly.Tools: Procreate, Photoshop
Summer '21
My first set of gay deer and what would kick off my yearly contribution to pride month.
The one that started it all, classic pride.Easily one of the most popular pieces and would spur me on to draw more and more.The progress flag was very new and big this year and I wanted to include it in a fun way with my deers.Bonus Flaming Deer [it was very very hot that year].
Summer '22
The first set of what has become my official pride deer.
The most difficult aspect early on was keeping the scope limited to not overwhelm myself. I succeeded in some ways more than others, these are the few illustrations I do where the coloring process takes the longest.

This was the year I had people requesting pride flags, I kept the slots limited just to match what I did before and leave room for next year.
This year in particular I wanted to touch on niche identities and kink communities especially—an important facet of pride historically, which has been washed away in a lot of contemporary representations.

Summer '25Another year of queer deers!I was really hitting the edges of queer identities this year so this is likely the last of the tiny flags series. While there are still many many more queer identities out there capping off the series with the queer flag seems like a great place to stop.
